At just 10 years old, Chef Hiroyuki Terada began his journey into the world of sushi by learning from his father. He later attended RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan, from 1987 to 1989, where he earned a reputation for his swift knife skills, meticulous attention to detail, exquisite presentation, and innovative twists on traditional Japanese cuisine.
Trained in the Kansai style of cooking, which is regarded as the pinnacle of Japanese culinary art, Terada even possesses a license in Japan to serve Fugu (Puffer Fish).
For Ichimora, Chef Terada has chosen to focus on serving Japanese comfort food, called Shokundo style which he enjoys both making and eating. Additionally, he plans to introduce off-menu specials that will showcase his exceptional skill set, often highlighted on his social media platforms.
Notably, Terada has achieved a Guinness World Record alongside Gordon Ramsay and has been sharing his culinary journey on YouTube for over 15 years, amassing more than 2 million subscribers on his channel, “Diaries Of A Master Sushi Chef.”
